We publish few news items, and only when something changes that has practical consequences for how software is built, sold or documented. That includes search algorithm updates when they genuinely change how results behave, the evolution of generative answers and of how engines cite their sources, and European regulatory developments affecting software — from the AI Act to the Cyber Resilience Act — read from the point of view of the people who then have to implement them in code, not of those who comment on the text. The criterion is simple: if a piece of news does not change a decision somebody has to make, we do not write it. This industry produces announcements at a rate that makes it impossible to follow them all, and most do not survive six months. Whenever we report a deadline, an obligation or a figure, we state the source. On these subjects a wrong date is worth less than nothing, because it makes the people who trust you take the wrong decision.
